When artists like Art Mengo cultivate closeness to their fans, we have a tendency to think of them as one of the family. His slightly hoarse voice sings of sad happiness in "Murmure de coquillage" and "Sentiments usés". There's nothing violent or excessive about the album "Croire qu'un jour…" just the pastel tints of a subtle, delicately shaded musical watercolour."Je suis heureux, un peu" (I'm happy - just a bit), he tells us in the warm accent of his home town, Toulouse. Patrice Guirao, Art Mengo's writer alter ego, put together the words, the aches of spirit and heart, as in the single "Faudrait jamais s'aimer" and "Je t'aime d'amour Madame". Happy and unhappy loves seem to be the main theme of the dreams of these two men who complement each other so well and show us that songs can be futile but in the end indispensable. The singer is preparing his next dates (including April 28th in Paris) with fans won over by the soft and intimate ambience of his music.
